I am a retired competitive swimmer for Team Canada, The Vanderbilt Commodores and Island Swimming. I have always kept a great adoration for the water and recreational swimming throughout my professional career, I grew up on the water on Vancouver Island and began swimming at the age of 3.

I have been coaching at-home private swimming lessons in my spare time for several years now, ages ranging from 14 months (“mommy and me” water familiarity) to 40 year old adults. In addition, I was an intro to competition age group coach for children 6-12 in previous years with Island Swimming.

I am a very technical, yet patient coach. I teach my students how to become familiar with the water, create a healthy relationship with the deep end and how to move through the water with precision, focusing on the fundamental mechanics of each stroke, turn, body position and movement. I look for feedback and encourage each student to voice their comfort and feelings while working through drills. Each lesson will be catered to each students needs, no lesson will ever be rushed, no time will ever be wasted.

I am incredibly passionate about the sport and being in, on or around the water and can’t wait to work with you!
